The lovely From Blank Pages blog is celebrating friendship and friendship bracelets this month. I love the idea, and this quilt popped into my head while running errands. It’s definitely a loose interpretation of the theme – with the idea of weaving and some modern updates of 80’s oranges and dramatic rose fabric from Anna Maria Horner.
It’s a simple baby quilt, which since it is raining babies these days, I am in need of just stacks of these for my friends.
I’m also happy for the opportunity to take a picture in my new favorite picture space – the crazy overgrown front garden.
Last but not least, part of this challenge was to dig up an 80’s picture – I wasn’t quite yet old enough to make friendship bracelets in this picture, but it is one of my favorites.
Hint: I’m the one in the dress.
